Sehr schön, manche innen aber steinig. Dennoch top. Schwer zu öffnen, kleinere Kids bis 8 tun sich schwer/brauchen Hilfe.

My kids aged 3 and 9 absolutely loved cracking these open. They were genuinely fascinated seeing the crystals inside. The geodes are solid but with adults supervision they are easy for kids to crack open with a small hammer. Don't throw off too many shards but you get protective glasses included anyway. Fantastic activity to do with kids - can't recommend highly enough!

This is such a fun kit for sure. At our last big family BBQ we gave these to all the kids (ages 6-14) and they had a blast doing them together. It was fun to see “who got what”, what was inside, and then they were trading them amongst themselves. I did give them old thicker tea towels to wrap them in when breaking to keep the pieces from going everywhere. Truly a fun kit

It’s really for your rock enthusiast child in your family rather than trying to initiate interest in a new topic. The kit is a bit gimmicky with the glasses etc but allows your child to embody the role of geologist. In the end we just started smashing the rocks onto the pavement to open the geodes. As an adult, the results were a bit meh. The kids had a bit of fun, but after the first couple it got a bit monotonous. You kind of have to fill in the gaps about rocks to extend the activity time or otherwise have a child who is already an enthusiast and who can educate you with their own knowledge.Better to be used when the cousins or friends come over and you only break one or two at a time, then your child and their friend can keep a piece each (makes the geodes a bit more special) rather than opening all the geodes at once. Alternatively throw it into the sandpit to make it a most excellent discovery activity for your child.
