Productdetails

I only used it for one night so far, but am really pleased with the tent. The actual weight is 4.9kg, as the advertising is misleading, starting 3.3kg main body weight. Whatever they mean by that. I didn't expect it to be that lightweight anyway, so I'm not disappointed. The inner tent is mesh only, which at first made me think that this was not really good for a 4 season tent. But it makes sense when people use a stove, and as it has snow skirts, there isn't that much draft in the tent to make the mesh only thing an issue. Plus, it's not the usual mesh Naturehike uses here, it's somehow thicker and lets less draft through. The bathtub is well thick and should handle water well. It's the first Naturehike tent I own that doesn't come with a ground sheet. It's a shame, but I can use others that I have.It could have done with a few more pegs and 4 more guy lines, but most campers will have some spare ones, anyway. There are only 2 small internal pockets in the inner tent, and only one hook at the ceiling, but I use fairy light chains for lighting, which can be tied around the inner tent and elsewhere. For 2 people, the inner tent is just sufficient, any excess gear can be stored in the massive porch. The porch is big enough for 2 Helinox like chairs, plus a little table.Ample space, good ventilation options and strong materials make it a very versatile tent. And it's light enough for canoe or kayak trips. For backpacking maybe a bit too heavy, but depending what people want and do.I bought it from Amazon as a special offer, but even the full retail price is justified, in my opinion. It might not have every little feature and details one might wish for, but it needs to shed weight somewhere, and I think it it's a great compromise for weight to feature ratio.

Nice tent . Perfect size for me. Plenty of space for my wood burner and a chair. Handy space at rear of tent.

I picked up the Naturehike Massif Tent specifically for motocamping, and overall, I really like it. One of the first things that impressed me was how compact the tent is when packed – surprisingly small for how spacious it is once set up. Inside, there’s plenty of room. I’d say it’s ideal for one adult and a child, or one person with lots of gear. The three entry points are a standout feature. They make it really convenient to access different parts of the tent and allow me to store luggage, my helmet, and boots outside the main sleeping area, which helps keep things tidy and dry (in theory).Setup was quick and straightforward. I had it pitched in about 5 to 10 minutes on my first go, which is always a plus when arriving late to camp. That said, there are a couple of downsides. Unfortunately, mine leaked at multiple points after just one night of rain. The rainwater doesn’t bead off like it does on my other tents (I own five in total). Instead, it tends to just sit on the fabric, which meant I was having to periodically shake the tent to keep the weight of the water off.Another small gripe is with the door tie-ups. The loops to hold the rolled-up doors are fixed fabric, not elasticated like I’m used to. It makes rolling and securing the doors a bit more fiddly than it needs to be.This tent has a lot of potential, it’s spacious, thoughtfully designed, and sets up easily. But for me, the poor performance in the rain is a real letdown. If Naturehike improves the waterproofing and tweaks a few of the small usability features, this could be an excellent motocamping tent.
