Die Bearbeitung des Holzes ist nicht ganz akurat. An den Löchern muss ich, um diesen Portionierer zu verschenken, nochmal schleifen, da diese unsauber verarbeitet sind.

I was in the market for a pasta measure and was headed down the path of buying a metal one when I spied this beauty. As I have gotten older, I realize that sometimes the simple pleasures are worth paying a bit more for and that is true in this case. The wood is gorgeous and every time I pull it out of the drawer to use it, I find myself feeling uplifted and appreciating its beauty.It's well-made, useful, and practical all at the same time. When our daughter was visiting and I retrieved this, she immediately commented on how lovely it is and didn't realize there was a tool to take the guesswork out of determining pasta portions. Maybe a future gift?Be aware that it needs to be hand washed, but considering it doesn't really get dirty, that isn't a problem. I usually just run some water over it, leave it out until the end of the meal, and then tuck it in the drawer during kitchen clean up. It's easily pretty enough to be displayed if you would chose to do so.Great purchase !

Well made would buy again

My wife loves this little kitchen helper. The wood grain is beautiful and it is a good size to hold in one hand. In other reviews, some have expressed concerns about the holes not indicating precise amounts of pasta. There is a bit of trial and error necessary because what I would consider a serving is not what a 15 year old boy would. (I know: we raised two boys.) As a guide, I calculated the relative differences among the four holes. If we assume the smallest hole is a single serving, the next size hole would be 2.5 servings, the third hole would be 3.8 servings and the largest would be 4.3 servings.

Useful and looks good too. Would make a lovely gift for a friend who cooks. Very reasonably priced and quick delivery.
