Excellent for connecting Apple Lightning devices to the Ethernet.

I work in an IT department and we deal with a lot of older Apple devices with Lightning connectors.We found out the other day, while we were trying to upgrade the wireless security to stop kids tampering with the Wifi connections, that if you send the settings in the wrong order, the iPad will lock down all the Wifi settings and not let you change them - and THEN be unable to change them as you asked it to!The only recovery without resetting them all was to reconnect them via Ethernet and push the new wifi settings. It was not something we wanted to do, nor something we were looking forward to, nor something we had the equipment to do either! We needed a Lightning to Ethernet cable and we simply didn't have any.We tried this and it worked - which saved us a LOT of time compared to fully resetting every iPad - and ever since we've bought a lot more of them to keep while we still have Lightning-based devices. It was the only thing to save us.Basically, it worked as expected - providing an Ethernet connection to iPads and iPhones sufficient to get us online. It's only 100Mbps but on a tablet that hardly matters. The connection was easy and instantly recognised, the speed wasn't Gigabit but it was stable and reliable.Far cheaper than the official cables (which are now almost impossible to get hold of) and worked great.

Got this to enable my iPad mini 4 to connect to the internet when the WiFi signal is bad. I also tested it on the iPhone 15, whilst it showed up as a DOCK like it did on the Mini, in the settings-general-about and had an IP address it did not allow me to go online. This may be a privacy setting. Plugging it back into the iPad mini 4 and all worked fine. Which is what I wanted it for in the first place. I like the connected and data indicators and they show connection active and data send/receive, it shows something is happening, which is great. Good price too, Feels solid, there is a small amount of cable that comes out of the end with the lightning connector on it , the cable itself is not very flexible. but does the job. I like the steel grey colour I got too.

What a great find this is from 'NCGGY', and I never even knew such an item existed till now. It is basically a 'Lightning to Ethernet' Adapter for various makes of iPhone, supporting 100Mbps and is Plug and Play.The reason I am so pleased with this item is 2 fold. The WiFi switch is permanently grayed out on my ipad, and no one seems to know how to fix this, and the WiFi sensitivity on my iPhone is really useless unless I am literally on top of the router (not recommended).So, by using a fairly long RJ45 ethernet cable from the router to this adapter, and then plugging the Lightning End into my iPAd or iPhone, at last I can enjoy effortless internet.Thank you again for a clever product, very impressive indeed.
