I’ll start off by saying I don’t love this product, but I also don’t hate it; it’s fine. It had good reviews, but no customer photos to know exactly what I was going to receive.The manual is quite confusing. Every other paragraph contradicts another one. I have a couple examples:- It says it’s pre-varnished, but then recommends to add additional wood protection. Customer service will tell you this is a mistake on their part and it doesn’t need the extra wood protection? I did add the extra protection because that’s what the manual states.- Another paragraph says to choose a sunny, dry location then later on says “protect the sandpit from direct sunlight.”- Two spots state “best placed protected from the rain,” customer service will tell you it’s ok to be in the rain? I think customer service will tell you the opposite of the instruction manual because it’s what you want to hear.All of the wood pieces aren’t the best quality. They are pretty thin and unstable. I purchased this for my one year olds birthday, so it’ll hold up for now. I wouldn’t recommend for older kids. The outside ledge for “sitting” bends even when he sits on it.Assembling the sandpit was easy-breezy until I got to the awning. The striped yellow material was too short, so mine does not resemble the stock photo of dangling off each side, so that was faulty and unlike the product shown. The awning wood pieces are veeeery flimsy. If the awning didn’t slide down and had the protection cover, the awning would easily blow off on a windy day. The awning does provide shade, which was a huge reason I purchased this sandpit vs others. Attaching the black mesh to hold the sand was a nightmare. The instructions have no words, just images and where the screws go into the wood. The back mesh was way bigger than the hole itself and as mentioned, the instructions didn’t advise how the black mesh should be applied. I ending up jury rigging it and cutting the extra pieces off. It’s not perfect by any means, but it holds the sand.I do like the protection cover. It’s decent quality and covers most of the sandpit.Overall, it’s a fine sandpit. I have zero hopes it’ll last more than the summer living in the Midwest, where it’s sunny, rainy and everything in between. I probably wouldn’t recommend this sandpit or repurchase. Based on what I received, I don’t think it’s a good value for your money. If the company used better wood, updated the instructions and made the awning and material better quality, it would be a much better product worth the price point.

Ma fille adore son bac à sable. Il faut être un peu délicat pour ouvrir et fermer le toit et le faire à deux c'est plus pratique franchement. Mais il fait ce qu'il lui es demandé, protege du soleil et des crottes de chats (je remet systematiquement la housse impermeable qui va dessus une fois le toit abaissé). Facile à monter avec un peu de jugeote. Très contente de cet achat 🙂
