I am an amateur enthusiast and use these stands for softboxes and speed lights (portable flash), but they would work very with a heavier studio light also. They are larger than cheaper stands, thicker, sturdier and more smooth. The feet can open quite wide so it will be stable with a heavier load. The collar at each joint seems to be made of metal rather than plastic. I recently had a cheaper one snap in half at the plastic joint connection when I was only carrying it upstairs. It knocked quite lightly against a wall and the plastic collar snapped in half. They are not air cushioned but each extension is spring cushioned/loaded so if you accidentally let the extension drop with equipment on it, it won't suffer a hard jolt and should be fine. These look quite sturdy and professional. They make my other stand look cheap and spindly in comparison. I'm sure you can pay more for better quality yet, but I don't think you can go wrong with these unless you have very heavy duty needs. I liked it so much I bought a 2nd. I should have bought the 2 pack to start with.

I like it, it’s sturdy and well made. The only downside for me is that it’s a bit heavy, and being a tiny woman myself, I don’t know if I’ll be able to take it out on the field alone while carrying my other camera equipment.

Nachdem ich als erstes das Neewer (Heavy Duty) Robuster Leichter Ständer, 92-200 cm gekauft hatte & immer noch unschlüssig war ob ich davon nun noch 2 andere möchte oder doch ein etwas schwereres & stabileres, da begegnete dieses mir als Warehouse Deal. Eigentlich war es vor dem ersten Kauf auch meine 1. Wahl, aber die Rezession das es schnell verkratzt hat mich bei dem Preis dann doch abgeschreckt.Ja es kam an & war schon verkratzt, aber für den Preis war es mir echt egal. Es ist im Gegensatz zu dem anderen Neewer Lampenstativ echt wuchtig & für meine Tageslichtlampen etwas überdimensioniert. Aber der erste unfreiwillige Stolpertest zeigte den klaren Gewinner 😆, ich war es nicht 🤫. Von daher darf es als Ständer für das Hauptlicht bleiben, sicher ist sicher 🙈.Also wer Neewer kauft & nicht Manfrotto Qualität erwartet ist mit diesem Lampenstativ echt gut bedient.

Nice and lightweight to transport & move around, while having a good height it can reach & take a fair bit of weight on top (with a sandbag for safety of course!)Use it regularly to hold a boom pole for recording interviews. Able to take the weight of a fully extended 16ft pole without any concerns of breaking or falling.
