I was able easily to put it on the Joby GorillaPod (GorillaPod 1k) that came with the Vlogging Kit. It's easy to rotate and move the ball around to any angle and there is one spot where to can even place it at 90 degrees so you can switch from landscape to portrait.I subtracted one star because while the ball part can rotate easily, the base of the mount does not rotate like on a most bigger sized ball heads. At first I figured it's due to the size because I didn't see many competitors with that feature at the same price point. However, I did find one here on Amazon made by Ulanzi that does have that feature at the same price point and sizing.I still do recommend this if you don't require the base to rotate (I'm not sure why you wouldn't want that feature) because of the quality of the materials, build, and ease of use.

This is the missing piece for a planned portable handcam setup using an Android phone, gooseneck arm with versatile clamp, and phone mounts. Getting your camera into weird angles to follow hand motion and crafting can be tricky, and there aren’t a lot of guides. The ball moves relatively smoothly (just enough drag but no hesitation) and holds its place well, even with a bit of weight on it and the screw not yet fully tightened. Once you have that screw in place, it’s not going anywhere. The plastic housing may not hold up over time if you use this with anything much heavier than a phone with a cooling fan, but that’s a long-term question. If you can’t afford or source a full metal solution, this is a great stopgap. The Neewer Basics line has been a wonderful surprise for me, and this is no exception.

I thought this was all metal but the base is polymere. Looks good quality but plastic can break easier than metal. Its a good ball head when you need something small and light,

Overall: This fully functional, budget priced, no-frills ball head gets the job done without emptying your wallet.Included contents: One mini ball head.Dimensions: Maximum height (not including camera screw stud) is 1.82” and maximum width (including tightening knob) is 1.95”Fit & Finish: Aluminum alloy ball and post have an even, silver matte finish. No rough or sharp edges noted, but neither is the finish polished smooth. The body of the mini ball head is composite plastic, as is the tightening knob and camera base interface. The plastic is matte black with a nice feel, no rough or sharp spots. The camera mounting screw is steel and the base threads appear to be a brass insert, threads on both are 1/4", smooth and precision cut. Overall, the quality, fit and finish are better than expected at this budget price.Function: The mini ball head functions as intended. The movement is slightly gritty, not silky smooth as on my costlier ball heads, but this is presented as a budget, no-frills mini ball head. It is very light weight and holds position, once lock down. Pan and tilt are both achieved though the movement of the ball in the head. Bottom line, it works, if you want silky smooth and more features, those options are available in products with a higher price point. Note the difference in ball finish between this product (on the right) and the more expensive (3.5X the cost) ball head on the left.Value: Cost at this review is $9.40 (May 2025) and I feel the product is an great value at this price point.
