I ordered 2 devieces and received them in two different shipments. The issue is that one device came with the latest firmware 1.06, but the other came with an old firmware 1.04.The product with firmware 1.06 works great and is a very powerfull device.Version 1.04 does not work for my application. Is there a way to upgrade the firmware? if not I will be forced to return the prodouct, and other 10 there were purchased by a colleague. I will check the firmware for each one.

1) I am seeing error frames when running on a bus that's using extended identifiers. The identifiers used by the servo are standard identifiers, but they should co-exist on a bus that also uses extended identifiers - assuming it is using a CAN peripheral that does not only support 11-bit identifiers (I've not seen one of those for a long, long time).2) The servo responds to CAN commands by sending a response using the same identifier. This is not good, as an identifier should only be sent by a single node! It is possible for messages to disrupt each other if an identifier is sent by more than one node and the transmissions are scheduled at the same time.3) The servo appears to send random responses at times.4) A few times it has displayed "Test OK" and lost all of its settings. Not sure what's causing that.

Gekauft als closed loop Stepper funtioniert einer gar nicht, der zweite hält eine Viertel Stunde.Idee ist gut,Ausführung verbesserungsbedürftig.

Jag tog bort en stjärna för att det var svårt att hitta en tydlig enkel inkopplingsanvisning för puls riktning.I övrigt mycket bra!

Everyone complaining about the lack of documentation. The documentation on the 42D is actually mixed in the 57D manual. So go to github and find the manual called..MKS SERVO42D/57D_CAN V1.0.2This has all of the set up and settings.Works like a charm. I'm using the CAN H and CAN L to read real time encoder position to an arduino uno for a coordinate project. The stepper motor is controlled via GRBL on arduino 1 and arduino 2 is translating CAN signal from the 42D to live coordinates..Also the functionality of the 42D is amazing. Played with all the settings and they are effective.
