Nice compass. Very heavy, so if you plant on doing long treks with low weight , it might be not for you...as for me, the more weight I have on the backpack the happier I am

This compass came exactly as shown. This was the perfect gift for my friend who loves this sort of thing! The excellent craftsmanship and use of metal rather than plastic really gives this item a sense of true authenticity. Well, that and the fact that the compass actually works!The little gray bag it comes with is perfect for storing it when my friend takes it out and about. Would recommend as a good birthday gift for a guy!

Bought this for my 10 year old son for his birthday. He loves to carry it around and also has tried using the sun dial. Very nicely made and both the compass and the pouch have an antique and rugged look.

This compass was a bit surprising as it's about 3" in diameterHowever, the one I received is very well made, glass crystal and heavy. It does its job as any magnetic compass should and it has become one of my favorites.
