All in all it’s pretty decent. Looks good works fine. However, a simple feature that you would expect is when you turn the dial it should set the temp either lower or higher it doesn’t it just changes colour, which is strange I would expect it to change the temp not having to go to menu then to set temp then to turn it up and down.

This isn't a nest thermostat. It's a tuya and uses the tuya app. Very deceptive listing

I feel as though this was something that was awkward from the very beginning given that the title refers to it as a nest thermostat which given that Nest isn't a type of thermostat but a different brand altogether it comes off as deceptive marketing. Thankfully actually installing it wasn't one of those awkward things including the acquisition and use of the app which I can appreciate though I will admit using the thermostat physically via the dial might trip people up that assume they can just turn the dial without the need to specify anything beforehand (you need to select "Temperature" first").Could potentially be worth getting despite the naming issue assuming that the app/services that keep the smart features running still has a good lifespan to it as the Tuya app that it works with (and the true identity of this thermostat) does do its job well though I'd be lying if I wasn't paranoid about the overall quality of anything that piggybacks on a more popular equivalent.

This is a really nice-looking thermostat and once you get it all set up it does work pretty well.It requires hard wire power so no having to change batteries in it frequently, but this is only suitable if you are replacing and existing wired one. They wall mount and cables is also quite fiddly to get the screws in to fit it on the wall.That being said once it is mounted it looks really modern and sleek, I love how it looks in fact.The large turn knob which also has a press in feature to select settings is easy to use and the screen gives loads of easy to ready bright information. The one small gripe is that the default for turning the knob doesn’t adjust the temperature which you thought it would, you have to select temperature first then turn it.Setting up the app was easy and gives you full control over it using Wi-Fi which I like, and you can adjust schedules etc in there with ease.Overall, it’s a lovely looking thermostat that once set up works well. Priced at £42.99 it’s not bad value for money, but a deal to get it under £40 would make it better.
