Over USB-C works with 10 Gbps, Does sustain over 460 MBps write and similar reads even while pushing over 20 GB of data in one go, also supports TRIM, very happy with it. This is on 512 GB variant, other sizes might perform different. but I really like that it uses true 10 Gbps.

Plugged this in straight from the box and got a steady 350 mb/s on USB-C and 250 mb/s on USB-A with 200 GByte + tranasferring, so quite happy with this purchase. Small invidual 1GB files can hit 500mb/s.I use as a backup device and speed has not dropped even when over 70% full.As mentioned in other reviews it is metal and could be quite heavy if left sticking out of a raised port, I used a hub on the desktop so had no issues with the weight at all.I will update in a few months if speed is maintained.

The drive replaced my SanDisk Ultra Luxe 512GB, which is a great drive but suffers from poor read/writes and the fact it heats up to the point where you could burn yourself. This is due to the all-metal design and this design being used as the heatsink.buI had been looking for a drive with both USB-C and A like my SanDisk with high read/write speeds like an external SSD. I have a Samsung T7 and it's great, very fast and just works every time and stays fairly cool even when writing hundreds of GB to it. My only issue with it was that I had to carry a cable with me everywhere, so it's not practical in my case. To clarify, you'd have to carry two cables if you want USB-C and A. Again, not practical. My SanDisk Ultra Luxe solved the cable issue, but then lacked in speed and intense heat. This is where this drive comes in. It retains the USB-C and A functionality while also retaining good speeds. An example of this is when I tried transferring a 110GB TV series to the drive. This is a Blu-Ray copy so naturally it would be quite high. It managed to do it in 7 minutes give or take. Seriously impressive. This was over the USB-C port plugged into the TB4 port on my XPS 13, USB-A performs similarly. This is around 300-400MB/s, yes full megabytes a second.Heat wise, it does heat up for sure. Though, nowhere near as much as my SanDisk drive. I can actually touch it without fear of burning myself. That said, it does get warm but it's manageable. It's size is considerably larger than my SanDisk, which is tiny in comparison. However, there's more space to dissipate heat as well as having the internals of an SSD rather than the conventional memory chips you'd get in a flash drive. It's smaller than my T7. Though, slightly slower than the T7 although it's not an issue. My only issue with it is that it will write very slowly after a certain point, I'm assuming this is DRAM cache or something (can't remember of the top of my head). It transferred my 110GB TV series at 1080p just fine, but doing it again it would go fast to begin with but then slow down to around less than 100MB/s. This could be an issue for some people. Now, I don't know what causes this as my T7 doesn't have this issue. It could be heat related or the DRAM thing.Overall, if you can buy it for a bargain then do it. It's great, I have the 512GB one and it performs great for what I need it for. The TV series transfer was just a test of read/write as I actually use it as my USB of tools like Windows ISOs, drivers etc and its extremely fast at installing Windows on a PC. This is practically an SSD in your pocket with no wires. I'm fairly certain you could use this as a Windows-To-Go drive with how fast it is.8/10 for me
