Heel plastic en goedkoop materiaal. LCD bij wat fellere stand veel lichtlek in het “zwart”. Stekker valt er makkelijk uit.Op een afstandje oogt het geinig, dat wel. Tijd, datum en temperatuurweergave.

De klok is mooi vormgegeven maar voor de prijs verwacht je toch meer, het display heeft veel bleeding in het donker met groene tinten. Het geheel voelt licht en goedkoop en het ontbreken van een benodigde stekker is vreemd in deze prijsklasse. Geen aanrader voor mij.

I was a little worried reading the reviews. The clock is lovely. It has several brightness settings and the lights can be switched off completely if you dont like extra light in the room. You can still see the display when there is light in the room. Love it

Die Uhr ist sehr leicht, ist evtl. nicht hochwertig, aber wenn sie steht, ist es ja egal. Ich mag den Retro-stil und bei mir steht die Uhr neben dem Fernseher und ist super zu sehen. Helligkeit der Ziffern ist in Stufen einstellbar, wenn man über Stromkabel die Uhr betreibt.

Very nice, well-made clock that works well. We've owned other digital alarm clocks from Amazon that proved to be junk. The buttons did not work reliably, features were missing, etc.This clock works well and has nice features. You can put it in "Night" mode and it will turn down the brightness of the display in the evening and back up in the morning. You get to program the time it is turned down and turns up again. Otherwise, you can manually adjust the brightness in three levels, low, medium and high. The brightness levels are just right either in manual or Night mode. The only improvements are: 1) you should get an AC powered usb power module for the price of the clock (you only get a special proprietary power cable that powers off usb); and 2) the instructions are a bit scattered and disorganized. You will find certain features scattered through the instructions and you have to read them top to bottom a couple of times to figure out how to do things - like program the Night mode times. You get a hard copy of the instructions with the clock, but I did not find a pdf of the manual on Newgate's US website. ( I like to save a pdf copy of manuals on my laptop for future reference.) I did come across Newgate's UK website, where a pdf of the instructions were available to download. The power cable uses the old USB A style plug, so maybe you have an old phone charger brick sitting in a drawer that could be used to power the clock.
