These is a basic four-function calculator with the addition of a writing tablet. It’s surprisingly nice considering the reasonable price. The calculator is solar powered with a backup button battery. It’s a twelve digit calculator, if you should ever need to count that high.The tablet side is quite useful.. My wife has already used it while balancing our checkbook. It’s handy for making a quick note about an item that needs a follow-up. I could also see this being useful around my workbench. I can jot down a few dimensions, perhaps make a quick sketch, and then calculate whatever ever dimensions I need. You can erase the tablet by pressing the erase button, or protect it from erasure by sliding the small lock switch on the top edge. But note that you can’t store or save what’s drawn on the tablet. The little plastic stylus slides into a slot on the edge of the calculator and snaps into place so it won’t come out accidentally.I can see this calculator/tablet combo becoming an indispensable item once I start putting it to more and more uses. It’s a great little device to have around the house or workshop.

NEWYES Calculator with Writing Tablet, Portable Basic Calculator Notepad for Primary and Middle School Studentsi love it. i had a calculator that had one of these draw pads but sadly the draw pad stopped clearing so it became quite useless. it also had buttons that were small and finicky. this one from newyes has a much larger draw pad and nice big easily pressed buttons. HOWEVER. the draw pad in reality and the pictures in the listing have only the idea in common. the listing shows super bright and vivid, wide-stroke, almost flouresecent drawings. in reality the pad works you can draw on it, but the stroke is very narrow, it is very dim almost hard to read. thats a real bummer. that said, i was pretty sure i knew what was coming. it just looks nothing like the pics. the buttons are great and having the note pad handy is also great, it just doesnt have the clarity and vividness as the pictures.

I guess I was expecting to receive an item that was a little heavier and felt better made. The actual product does exactly what it said it would do. It is a great calculator that opens up and also has a place to take notes. It has a lock switch so you can not delete your notes by accident, unless you unlock the device to erase. There is a manual that explains all the features and how to use the device. As I already stated, it works perfectly, but the calculator just has a "cheap" feeling to it. Maybe more people want a lighter device, and that is why the manufacturer went that way.Overall, the price is amazing, and it works perfectly.
