Make a world of difference on long rides - I gambled on these because I couldn’t find a comfortable pair in store - good gamble these are very comfortable - I’m 230lbs with a skinny butt so sizing was good

Obviously for the price, these are not going to be Lulu quality, and they're not. I'm about a 34/35" waist, big-ish thighs, 5'6" bit of a gut. The XL are exactly the right size for mePROS- Fit well everywhere as described above- Very nice look; I like the graphics- Both pockets are useful; thigh pocket is handy for lock key, or small item--anything with weight pulls down the shorts. Back zipper pocket is ideal for my mini wallet- I'd say the padding is doing the job; not as much as I'd like, but not so much that you can't walk without looking like a duckCONS- Material is average; I feel like they're only going to last one season. Again: get what you pay for- A real flaw is the elastic cuffs at the bottom of the shorts. After the first ride they stretched permanently so now they're just flappy material around the top of the knee, not a firm wrap. They also have sort of a gummy feel on the inside of the elastic cuff- I was surprised that there's no waistband draw string. Maybe that's common, but initially I was concerned I couldn't tighten up the waist. I've found after a couple rides though, they're mostly staying in place, and I only have to hike them up when I get off the bike. If these do wear as fast as I'm expecting though, I bet that waistband will permanently stretch.Bottom line: as my first pair of padded shorts I'm now sure that padded shorts are the way to go! I think though, my next pair will be of higher quality.UPDATE May 2025. I've moved this from 3 stars to 4 stars. The shorts did a great job in a cycling trip across Holland. They still look new. The back pocket has proven to be very useful holding a thin wallet. Aside from the flappy leg cuffs, these are very good shorts.

Quite comfortable.

I read a lot of the reviews on these riding shorts before I ordered them. I read some reviews said that they run small and a couple of reviews said that they ran big. So I just ordered my normal size which is a large. I am 5'10 and weigh 175 lb. I got the large in and they were way too tight on me. most of the reviews say that these run small and I should have listened to them. I returned them and ordered them in an extra large size. The extra large size fits me perfect. He's riding shorts are longer than a lot of my other shorts. Which is good for the fall season riding when it cools down. I like the sporty look of them and the color. I really like that it has two pockets on either side of the shorts and a rear pocket with a zipper for a key. I use this when I go to the bike path and take my bike in my car. this is the only pair of riding shorts that I have that has pockets like this which is really cool. The shorts are really comfortable and the only knock on them is the padding is a four out of five. it's not that the padding is thin it's just not quite as thick as some of my other riding shorts and I have about 10 pairs. But my seat bones are pretty broken from doing long rides so these shorts are fine on me. I look really cool on and match a lot of the gray and white and black tops I have. So if you're thinking about buying these, then I definitely recommend that you order one size up.

I have a waist 37 and hips 41 which gives me L in a size chart.I bought XL and it fits me perfectly. A little bit tight but it SHOULD BE TIGHT. A padding shouldn't move.After 2-3 rides your body will not notice this small tightness. And don't forget, NO UNDERWARE, no matter what manufacturer says. So add one size to chart size you match and enjoy your rides!After about 1000 km and 5-7 washing they are still like new.
