I really wasn't expecting the rod to be anything like even my budget end 4 piece fly rod . However I was disappointed it was almost all the other cheap Tele spinning rods I've picked up for £10 to stuff in a suitcase . It's a spinning rod with a fly rod handle . Not even a nod towards fly rod action or weight . I realise it's quite heavy line rated but it's poker stuff and heavy . Expected better for the money frankly.

To be truthful, I wasn't expecting much for a telescopic fly fishing rod.As mentioned in the previous review, the rod has lined guides as apposed to the usual snake eyes.This didn't cause any problems for me and I managed to cast quite well using a 3/4 reel paired with a 3 weight floating line.Caught that little beautiful brown trout today on my local river. Of course he's been quickly returned to to his home for us to catch another day.🐟I've purchased this rod as a backup to my usual rod because it's really compact and I hope I won't really need to use it, but it'll be there if I do.😵‍💫Well worth the money and I'd recommend it for others, especially as a backup to your main rod.🎣
