I am using these snap clasps as a replacement for very cheap, poorly designed carabiners, the type that just have a notch cut in the gate that is both sharp and ill-fitting, with a wire pin hinge joint. They're just awful things and because I didn't need a high load rating or a swivel, this set of snap clasps work just fine.Their action is slightly rough but felt fine with a small drop of oil. They close reliably and open fully. I haven't had them in use long enough to comment on the durability of the finish, but I assume it will be fine. They are an appropriate length for what I need (anchoring a seat strap) and should do the trick. A great price for what seem to be good-quality snap clasps.
