I bought this for my dad before his hip replacement surgery and it has made all the difference in the world. It’s truly made getting in and out of the car so much easier for him. It’s sturdy and I don’t have to worry about it not being supportive enough. Because it’s lightweight, it easily stores right in the door or console.

I bought this for my husband, always a passenger now, to use since he seems to take forever to get turned and feet out and shimmied into a get out of the car position. But he won't use it. Period. I, however, don't really need it but I use it because the extra support that this gizmo gives is just super and makes me smile. So simple but so effective. One of these days my husband may use it, who knows. But until then, I am still very happy with the functionality of this little device. Yes, I recommend it

It sure helped when I needed it after tearing the meniscus in my knee. The only thing I would change is I would look for the one that would cut seat belts in an emergency. I no longer need it now that I had my knee replaced but I'll keep it in the car for when I have someone riding with me who might need it. It sure was handy.
