Die Nitecore MH12 V2 ist eigentlich eine prima Lampe - aber der "serienmäßige" Endkappenschalter trübt den Gesamteindruck doch erheblich.Dieser Schalter macht die Lampe nicht nur "tailstand"-fähig und schützt gegen versehentliches Einschalten, sondern er fühlt sich bei Betätigung auch präziser an.Am Produkt selbst gibt es für micht nichts auszusetzen - nur ziehe ich einen Punkt aufgrund des Preises ab.Über 20 Euro für einen Endkappenschalter? Dafür gibt es von anderen Herstellern ganze Lampen (und noch nicht mal schlechte ...)

This is a great answer to the problem of breaking tail switches by dropping the flashlight…and it lands on the tail. I just broke a previously-owned flashlight by doing exactly that. One drop on a hard (tile) surface, and it shattered the tail switch. Just that quickly expensive flashlight was lost. Fortunately, I was someplace that a backup wa close-by.That event caused me to consider the possibility that it could happen in a situation of great need—with no backup flashlight available. So when buying a replacement I was looking for a solution. Nightcore was one of the few (only?) brands that offered an answer, at a reasonable price.The secondary benefit, is that it can function as a tail stand in a pinch.

Purchased this cap at the same time as the flashlight, so very glad I did. Should be the original design at the same price point. But oh well.

The knurling is a little shallow (not super grippy) and I was hoping to tail-stand the light a bit better. Still glad I bought it, big improvement over the weird exposed button it replaces. Hence my review title - good enough.

It Didn't take long for the original tailcap on my MH12S to fail. The rubber boot tore in less than 6 months and dirt/moisture got in and ruined it. Frustrating that it didn't come with this tailcap originally but the raised guards are like other tactical flashlights and should protect the boot.
