I wanted to modify my old EVF and use this mount and it works very good.I have an old Cineroid EVF4RVW and it's pretty heavy, so it supports the weight and size.I was using a flexible arm and it was not good enough for the size and weight of my EVF.The modification I made on the EVF was to mount a Rosette with an M6 Female, if that makes any sense.But it works...

So, this is more like 3.4 star which rounds to 3, but here's why.First off, it's a quality item and it does the job. It just could do more or do it better with options in the kit. For instance, the Arri rosette screw is a 1/4 20 screw instead of an M4. The rosette is also slightly smaller than the Arri rosette on my rig, which thankfully, is from Tilta and it has two rosettes (one large and one smaller) and one of the options fits the Nitze rosette perfectly. I do wish it fit the larger option, but this will do for now. At this point, my rating was 4 out of 5.Next, the nato rail included here could be longer. I think the sweet spot would be around 150mm or roughly 6 inches. This one is 90mm. It's cool... but some rigs are taller than others and it would be nice to have an option that can swing broadly to accommodate various rigs reasonably. Or, charge another 10 bucks for a kit with a 90, 150, and/or a 200mm option. The 200 may be a bit much, but the 90mm is appreciated, and the 150mm is the chef's kiss of perfection and praise in my honest opinion. 3 out of 5The added bump is the mount for the Portkeys L-EYE (version 1, 2, or SDI), the included 15mm rod, rotating nato rail swivel with swivel lock, and the actual thumb screw/knob for locking down the Arri rosette. Those are really nice attributes to this kit and will help you adjust and fine tune without having to purchase a bunch of add-ons (but you might have to purchase some depending on how your camera rig is set up). I did see a nato rail extension rod that was the coveted 150mm length, BUT it did not fit with the nato rail lock of this kit. That sucked. The other reason this kit falls at the 3 out of 5 is because it doesn't really play too well with other parts. It does fit nice with my Wooden Camera Safety Arms for RED's DSMC 2 lineup, but those are $130 arms and that cost of entry is steep especially considering you're only getting one Safety Arm. But at least it works so I can't complain too much and the adjustment has my EVF right where I need it to be with the ability to be adjusted to perfection for my right eye, and with a longer 15mm rod, my left eye.Overall, this is a quality buy, you can't go wrong if you know that this will fit your rig and it's all you need. If you are not sure, then do the extensive research because it, again, does not play with all parts from different companies. So, do the additional homework.3.4 out of 5, final score. Worth the investment but has room to improve.

I mean just look at that set up! The EVF Mount by Nitze is smooth, fully adjustable to any position your shooting in and is made top of the line quality! LOVE IT!
