Ich nutze sie regelmäßig, damit Lüfter keinen Schall an das Gehäuse übertragen können. Das klappt auch sehr gut.Dabei setze ich sie nicht nur bei Novtua-Lüftern ein, sondern auch bei anderen, und da es durch die Schraubenlöcher geht, klappt es gut.Die Montage funktioniert auch meistens, und einmal eingebaut, halten sie über Jahre. Allerdings werden sie über Jahre (ich habe welche, die sind mittlerweile bestimmt 5-10 Jahre alt) auch brüchiger und reißen leichter, wie auch beim Einbau es bei ordentlich Zug vorkommen kann. Jedoch kommt das bei mir selten vor, insofern ist die Haltbarkeit und Qualität sehr gut.Überstände habe ich abgeschnitten, insofern sind sie für mich ein Einmalprodukt, das mit dem Lebensende des Gerätes auch entsorgt wird. Manche der Überstände habe ich dafür zwischen Lüfter und Gehäuse an den Seiten geklemmt (1HE-Gehäuse mit 40mm-Lüftern), damit diese auch keine Schwingung übertragen, und das hat auch funktioniert. So konnte sogar der Müll verwertet werden ;-)Kurzum: Ich mag diese Teile sehr und baue sie sehr gerne ein.

These things are amazing! The Arctic slim fans that I use for bottom intake were quite loud when used at more than 50% speed. Switched the mounting screws with this noctua nubbin and the fans are completely silent now!

I have a closed wood cabinet with half-inch thick walls. I installed a cooling fan over one of two holes I cut in the cabinet walls using little metal bolts and nuts, and it was so loud. I attached the cooling fan to the wall using four of these silicone screws instead, and it was much quieter. Then I pulled the cooling fan a couple millimeters farther away from the wall of the cabinet and wrapped one of these around each of the ones going through the fan and the wall sort of like a twist tie between the cabinet wall and the cooling fan, and it was almost silent after that.That's on the inside of the hole in the cabinet wall. On the outside of the cabinet, the little round ends of these silicone screws barely stick out, and a PVC cooling fan air filter with no frame fit right onto it, easily removed to clean, and then put right back on. It just hangs on the little ends of the silicone screws without anything else used to hold it there. So that's all you see on the outside of the cabinet, a flat black square with a brown dot near each corner of the black square.
