Noctua NF-A14 iPPC-2000 IP67 PWM, Koeling Ventilator voor Intensief Gebruik, 4-Pins, 2000 RPM (140mm, Zwart)

Ich habe seit ich eher grafikintensive Spiele bzw. auf einem QHD 32:9 Monitor spiele, mit etwas mehr Graka-Abwärme zu leben. Diese fängt sich in meinem MidiTower ganz gut und wollte auch mit den alten ca. 1k schnell drehenden Silentwings 3 nicht weichen. Darum habe ich den Rear- und die beiden Top-Lüfter gegen die hier genannten ersetzt. Mit den Gumminippeln von Noctua Chroma entkoppelt und die sichtbaren Ecken der Lüfter mit zum Gehäuse passenden Ecken ebenfalls von Noctua Chroma ergänzt. Jetzt sieht es weniger nach den typischen Noctuafarben aus.So nun zum relevanten Teil:Mit zunehmender Geschwindigkeit nimmt auch der von ihnen ausgehende Luftdruck unaufhaltsam zu. Da die Lüfter der Graka ab einem gewissen Leistungslevel ohnehin anfangen sich laut zu drehen, habe ich die Lüfterkurven der Software des Mainboards entsprechend angepasst, sodass der A380 nicht nur auf der Graka startet.Meine Config hat einen 360er Radiator für die AiO der CPU, über den Luft reingezogen wird, unten ist bis auf den Meshfilter offen, sodass die Graka ordentluch frischluft ziehen kann und oben (2x140) und hinten (1x) wird durch die neuen Noctua rausgepusht.Der Luftstrom ist wirklich beachtlich und bewegt etwa 2,6x soviel Luft, wie die alten Lüfter - also auf Volllast.Die Silentwings hat man auf Volllast gerade eben gehört, diese hier hört man etwa ab 1k Rpm das entspricht ca. 42%. Bis 900 Rpm, etwa 37% hört man allenfalls ein geringes Grundrauschen, nichts das stört.Die Lüfterkurve steht für den idle des PCs auf etwa 30% - gut 600 Rpm. Das was ich da höre ist für mich wirklich gerade so nur wahrnehm- aber nicht richtig hörbar.Er lässt sich auf etwa 500 Rpm runterregeln, darunter hatte ich keine Gelegenheit zu testen. Die von anderen bemängelte Anfahrspannung kann ich bestätigen, die wird aber recht schnell - sobald die software startet - abgefangen.

Firstly, I purchased the Noctua Industrialppc as a replacement Exhaust Fan for my HAF 932 Advanced Case.Nothing wrong with the current case fan, just felt like a change and the new Industrialppc and Redux fans got my eye.The packaging is superb and it comes in a presentation box - but as most of Noctua's products are well presented, wasn't too surprised. The Fan is as seen - Black, with Brown Rubber corners and the cable is completely sleeved all the way to the header (good quality).In the box are 4 silver screws to mount the Fan - and that's it.Just a note to say that I have been fortunate enough in the past to own Noctua fans and from recollection, they tend to add a small number of accessories such as cable extensions, splitters, etc.However, this was "Not" the case with this fan (which was a little disappointing)..Anyhow, installed the fan with no problems and attached to the CHA_FAN2 on my Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 motherboard.Started up the computer and got a shock - it was LOUD!!Up to this point, my PC was very silent - PSU Eco Setting on, HAF 932 with 3 large fans running at 700rpm and Thus, completely silent.So got a shock !! Went into Windows and the Fan continued to roar and ran at full throttle (1968+ RPM). It sounded like a Hoover and was evident and distracting. The positive is that it moved a HUGE amount of air. It actually blew my 140mm Dust cover off and you could feel the air on your hand holding it a foot away from the Fan. Stunning..On checking my temps, it reduced my CPU Core and Socket temps by 1-2 degress (by just adding that one fan). However, it was short lived as I just couldn't cope with that noise.My assumption had been that due to the fact the Fan was a 4-pin PWM, the Motherboard would regulate it's speed based on the current temperatures. That was not the case.It turns out (after much research) that my motherboard has only 2 true PWM headers controlled on the motherboard and they are CPU_FAN and CPU_OPT1 (which were being used by my Noctua NH-D15).Not Noctua's fault - my error and left me disappointed with my ASUS motherboard.I was eventually able to resolve the issue by changing the Fan to the CHA_FAN4 on the motherboard, then going into the BIOS and enabling Q-Fan Control on CHA_FAN4 and setting it to Manual.This then allowed me to control the Fan speed via the Asus Suite II software on Windows and as we currently speak, I have manually adjusted the speed to 55% and it's running silently at 1200RPM.At 55% and running at 1200rpm, it barely audible and still shifting a lot of hot air out the back of the case.In conclusion - if you buy this fan you are getting -1. A high quality fan.2. Great Warranty covered by fantastic after-sales service,3. ability to exhaust a LOT of air as needed,4. ability to control the speed manually via motherboard (or fan controller),5. cleaner case innards due to the fact that the FAN is dust free (special coating) and6. Its water resistant (but hopefully that's not something you will need to test).Only slight issue is the price - at £25, it's a little pricey.But I love this fan and feel the quality and it's ability justifies the higher price tag.

Used in a DIY humidifier. So far so good.

Excellent fan! Quiet under PWM and still far more quiet at full rpm than stock fans on the H110i GTX.Airflow is greatly improved. If you're case fans cannot push enough air you can end up starving these units. II highly suggest the 14 Redux from Noctua (1200) to feed the case.Ps. If you don't like the brown rubber, they come off really easily.
