The charging capacity is excellent. The radio provides great sound quality and is super easy to use. The power options are cool, making it great for camping or in case of a natural disaster.

After Hurricane Helene left many without power, resources, ability to get information and more it because obvious for the need of a simple but useful tool like this. This Hand Crank/Solar/4 Charging Method Emergency Radio - Flashlight - SOS alarm sounder - reading light - compass - mobile power bank is something I now never want to be without. I wasn't sure what WB meant on the radio dial with the AM/FM so I tuned it in and looked it up and found that it's mostly like a weather band type place that's great when needing local weather alerts, temps, changes in weather. I could only get 1 state-wide local weather service station on that channel and nothing on the AM station. This was with the antennae fully extended and full power. On the FM channel so many stations came in that I was excited because in our home for some reason we only get about 4 clear channels normally.Knowing you can crank this up to charge it to run for a while is an added comfort. The flashlight was quite bright, the SOS alarm wasn't terribly loud but its something you could probably use that eventually would make someone further off know they were hearing something if you kept it on. The thing I found neat was that you can flip the top of the portable radio up and there you have a bright "reading light." This would be handy when needing to use a map in the dark. It's very bright. There's a built in compass and adjustable carrying strap. It's not a shoulder strap - its just a hand carrying strap size. Cranking it was somewhat a learning experience. I finally figured out if you crank it moving both arms like the arms on a railroad train moves wheels it becomes easier and you get a rhythm going. I'm concerned that eventually the plastic arm crank piece would either break accidentally while cranking or over time would possibly become brittle if outdoor use is its main purpose and its constantly exposed to temp fluctuations like stored in a barn or vehicle. Maybe not but that's just my thought. Will all that said, I'd definitely recommend this useful tool!

I am getting to know this light and radio and keep finding things that it does that are somewhat unexpected. I like the fact that it can be cranked to charge the battery or left out in the sun for the solar panel to charge it. It has a backup of several AA batteries, so there would not be any reason for this radio not to work during power outages.I had looked at these types of units in the task, and they tended to be ready and heavy, but this one is lightweight. If you were carrying it around, it would not be hard on you. The radio works well, at least the FM band, which is the only one I've used at this point. But there is nothing to dislike about this unit, and in troubling times I believe you would greatly appreciate having it around.I did fail to mention that if you pull up the solar panel you have a nice even light that could be helpful at night getting around your house. It also has a spotlight, but I have not yet tried that one out, it is led so it likely puts out a pretty good light.
