Solid portafilter, but not without its issues.Let’s start with the good. It fits my Gaggia like a glove. The machining is spot on, and the fitment is perfect. The wood handle is a standout—it feels great in hand and looks even better in person. All my 58mm baskets fit without any issues. It also almost lays flat.Now for what’s lacking. The portafilter is surprisingly light. I know its the slim but I was expecting a bit more heft, especially considering how much better heat retention is with a heavier design. Compared to their original model, this one feels like they removed too much material. It still works, but that lack of weight does affect performance and the premium feel.As for the lay-flat design, it technically does lay flat, but not perfectly. There's a slight wobble because the center point is raised. That completely defeats the purpose of marketing it as a flat-bottom portafilter. Honestly, if they had to change the shape of the handle or reinforce the bottom to make it sit properly, they should have.Another issue is the spring that holds the basket—it’s too weak. When knocking out a puck, the entire basket sometimes comes out with it. That’s frustrating, especially when it even happens with their own basket.Overall, it’s a good-looking, well-machined portafilter that gets a lot right. But the weight, the wobble, and the weak basket spring all hold it back from being great. With a few thoughtful tweaks, it could easily be one of the best options out there. Right now, it’s close, but not quite there.

Overall, the build quality is very good and it does pull good quality shots. The fact that you can disassemble the handle is also very nice for cleaning. My main complaint is that the bottom of the basket is a mesh that is very hard to clean and will retain coffee between pulling espresso shots. This can be minimized by using Cafiza or other espresso machine cleaners, but you won't have this issue with traditional baskets with punched or drilled holes.

I love the walnut handle- it's beautifully made and feels wonderful in the hand. This fits perfectly on my Gaggia Classic Pro Evo. The slim design works great in the portafilter holder I have- I can easily keep it level and stable while I level and tamp my grounds. The included basket is also extremely nice- really neat design on it, very unique relative to the standard baskets that just have holes punched in a piece of metal. I use this every day. Well worth the purchase. Cleans up very easily, as you would expect. I give it a quick rinse after every use.

Beautifully crafted and fits my Gaggia Classic Pro perfectly. The walnut handle is a classy touch, and the naked design lets me really dial in my shots. Great basket included, and the extraction is noticeably better than the stock portafilter.

I absolutely love this portafilter. I bought it to upgrade the original portafilter that came with my Gaggia Classic Pro (GCP) and it checks all the right boxes for me. It fits exactly right and rotates into the correct position without issue. The handle is beautiful and the weight of the portafilter feels great to use. I wanted a bottomless portafilter because they're easier to clean and this works well for that. I don't care for the mesh filter on the included basket and am still using the original basket. I can't say these portafilters will improve the taste of your coffee, but they definitely improve your cleaning workflow and overall enjoyment of making espresso!
