If you are like me and just starting Electronics as a hobby, this is a great buy. 200 general purpose transistors that I can using for experiments, testing etc. Cheap enough that I don’t have to worry about damaging them, and plentiful enough to allow me to build permanent circuits. I am only just starting out so I have no idea if the mix of types is useful or not, but for me that doesn’t matter.

If you often use transistors for DIY projects, this is a good way to buy them at a good price. You get 200 transistors of various ratings for under £7 which I think is a pretty good value. Of the few I have used so far, they seem to work pretty well and seem quite durable. They come in a nice, plastic box which is great for storing them and keeping them organised. Overall I would recommend them.

This is a useful set of transistors, perfect for someone beginning to learn electronics and wanting to see what the various types of component do in a circuit. However, the description says the box contains 200 NPN transistors, but the types BC327, BC556, BC557 and BC558 are actually PNP, and while the photo of the box label shows "NPN PNP", nowhere on the actual box label is the type specified. This distinction is very important when including transistors in circuits, and a beginner might not always realise the difference. The type (NPN/PNP) should be printed on the box alongside the ID so it is clear which transistor is of which type.
