The other negative reviews can be safely ignored if you have any ingenuity whatsoever. Yes, the battery comes by default with the cable exiting the battery from the center, with plastic "guards" that restrict movement/direction of that cable. But the plastic guards are just thin pieces of plastic. If you have a good scissors or a tin snips then you can easily remove part of them to allow the cable to route as needed. My photos should make it fairly clear what I mean.I've used this on my Canon RP mirrorless to do numerous timelapses and having a USB-C dummy battery has been priceless. Allows me to plug it into a 27000 mAh power bank and shoot timelapses far longer than I'd ever need to.My only complaint is that they used an 1/8" minijack connector to connect the short cable coming from the battery to the extended USB-C cable. Would be nice if it was USB-C itself as that would allow us to swap out the cable for something shorter or less clumsy than the included spiral bound "spring" cable.Anyways I'm not one to normally leave reviews but this product has been massively helpful for taking 1000+ photo timelapses outdoors. You just might need a small amount of ingenuity to make it work.
