Hi,I use it for tours with a certain gravity aspect … means I like to have it in backpack while cruising.That works nicely as I can flit the thing and orientate the backplate against my back ti get it protected even if technically not wearing it.The only struggle is with shoulder pads.I am a normal 180cm guy and when the right pad is fine in position the left is to far down my arm.I need to compensate with the strips a lot to get both in a 90% position.It seems designed for Ork muscle shoulders …I can tell nothing about protection as I had no touch down till I bought it but it looks and feels stable comfortable and „protective“Yes I Sommer it is warm … but better healthy than cool and in hospital
