I have a friend who recommended this garment. He wears a large in normal clothing, he got a large in this garment. Plus my wife had noticed I was looking a little 'fluffy' lately due to being laid up from the surgery and the medication causing some weigh gain. So here I am with this garment. The sizing: If you wear a T-shirt that's still slightly loose and not real snug - get the size in that T-shirt size. For example, you wear a, say, XXL T-shirt and is not exactly form fitting and snug but still very slightly loose and almost snug then in this garment get a size XXL. In this case if you go with a larger size its going to be a little less effective, remember, its the compression of the material here that's going to provide the effect and if you get a size larger than you need its going to be less compression thus less effect. However, some people might want, for some reason, a size smaller than what I've described here. But judging from my use a smaller size will not necessarily mean more effective. I wear a XXL in a T-shirt and because of the weight gain I mentioned its gotten more snug so like my friend advised I got an XXL in this garment but he also let me try one of his large sizes and it was really snug but I can tell you that although there was a more 'compression feeling' in the snugness it did not necessarily shape better then my XXL size.Putting it on: The instructions that come with it say you put it on by stepping into the neck opening then pulling it up your body. I'm not sure why they gave those instructions because its not really needed to do that. The garment can be put on normally as you would a snug tighter fitting T-shirt, you will need to work the lower portion of the garment down towards the waist but its not hard to do and is very easy and similar to what you would do with a very snug fitting 'compression' sports wear T-shirt (e.g. Under Armour 'compression' T-shirts). If you follow the instructions by stepping into the neck opening then pulling it up your body, if you must it can be done that way but its not really necessary if you sized correctly.Comfort: Its not uncomfortable, might take a little getting used to for some people but I didn't have any problem and after a few minutes of wear I kinda, a little, forgot it was there.Material and workmanship: Have not seen anything wrong with it yet. Seems to be decent quality material and put together well. Really 'stretchy'General use observation: Its not going to turn your body into looking like that of the guys in the pics shown with this product. I doubt they had an ounce of excess weight on them to begin with and they probably didn't need a 'shaping' garment. Of course I did not expect this to happen, I just wanted a less, lets call it, 'fluffy' appearance. I underwent some surgery and have been laid up for a bit and the medication has a side effect of slowing my metabolism so I gained some weight. But I will recover and the medication won't be needed any longer so I'll be able to get back to my normally more active life style and eventually I'll drop the weight but I am hitting that slide into senior years and once the weight comes on for older guys it can be difficult to get rid of completely.
