Right, for a little background....I work in a NHS setting part time in addition to my full time work elsewhere and we are supplied with Type IIR masks for work outside of patient areas, when in contact with patients we wear appropriate respirators, so I am making a direct comparison of quality, fit and overall function compared to the certified surgical masks in use in a professional setting.I purchased these masks for personal use, and found them to be very good quality and value for money compared to others in the marketplace and I’ll explain why.• They have a proper metal nose strip which bends and retains the position it’s been bent to very well, not a very thin flimsy wire which do not conform to the nose shape or cheeks with any integrity. This is VERY important which I have noticed a great deal of people that wear disposable masks have a huge air gap around the top of the mask which negates their protective function to both the wearer and the other people in the vicinity. This a big plus.• The none woven material is soft and comfortable to wear for extended periods which makes a big difference to overall comfort.• If like me, you have a deviated nasal structure or you have a large nose bridge (Thank you boxing!), the Nasal strip is effectively long enough to accommodate the nose shape. I do not wear reusable cloth masks as most cannot conform to my face adequately to perform an effective job.• The elasticated ear loops are thinner than a number of other competitors. However they are comfortable, stretch appropriately and out of 150 masks (three boxes so far), I haven’t had a detachment or failure of the loops at all.• The overall cut of the mask is generous and covers the chin and nose area well.• A massive benefit to these masks have been consistency. Unlike a number of other brands I have used, all the masks of the same size, instead of having a variation of up to 2cm between the largest and smallest in the box. They have all been well made, with well applied crimping, surface setting and no gaps in the edges and seams.Overall they are one of the better masks I have used, and the consistency and overall performance has been of a standard I am happy to accept. Good price and excellent quality

Good standard of workmanship as well as hygiene.

Bought these after getting contracting covid at work and didn't want a repeat. They are similar to nhs hospital ones. All so far have had the wire strip present and the ear loops have been attached well and ate of a sufficient size - allowing me to wear normally and also twist / double up the strap to fit tighter. There isn't a chemical smell either.There isn't much gapping at tge sides of the mask and it fits well around my nose and chin.Ultimately I feel safer at work and feel there's less risk in me getting ill again or passing things on to loved ones.

Best thing about these face masks is I can wear them all year against pollen in the air. They work beautifully, and don't have tie backs, just the elastic go around the ears. Thanks Amazon
