This case is sturdy without being too bulky. I use my Surface Pro 8 mostly as a laptop (with keyboard) instead of a tablet, and usually have it on my lap on a lap desk. The built in stand on the Surface was slipping off the end of the lap desk. I thought I was going to have to buy a new lap desk, but instead found this case. It is stable enough to use on my lap desk, even with the far end hanging off the edge of the lap desk a little. It closes nicely with the magnetic flap - even with the Surface keyboard attached. Also, all of the openings for the ports, camera, power etc. are all perfectly placed and accessible. Happy with my purchase!
