This is a self-adhesive PTFE Teflon tape. As such it's firm and not very flexible. The adhesive is not very strong. The tape can be removed without leaving any residue.When in contact with a naked flame, it burns, but then this would be around 1000 °C. The description only promises that the tape can withstand up to 300 °C.

In my home cinema room I have a lot of PVC clad wires running from amps to speakers and the TV. Some of these wires run adjacent to a ducting that can get quite warm. In order to keep things tidy I have wrapped insulating tape to keep the cables together but over time it tends to peel away. that is where this Teflon tape comes in.This tape is temperature resistant and that for me was the draw. It is also easy to use being simple to remove from the roll and it will stick to itself. I haven't used too much of the 10 metre roll but I am sure it will come in handy for future jobs, like when refurbishing the bathroom, which is an imminent project.This isn't the cheapest of tapes but is is a well made and robust tape that has both specialised and more bog standard uses around the house.
