Main reason I got this is because our cats cannot be trusted to regulate their eating if we leave out a big pile of food for a couple days. They will absolutely stuff themselves on day one the minute they're left alone. This made going on short trips more complicated. We also wanted to spread their meals out over a few feedings a day without having to do that manually and needing to be here during the day.All the main features of this thing work pretty well. Setup was easy, setting a schedule is easy, the app is pretty straight forward. After some test weighing of portions from both sides, it appears to do a pretty solid job of dispensing predictable amounts of food.It's not without its flaws, however.1) The iOS app can be buggy and just doesn't respond sometimes or do the thing you're trying to do. Most of the time closing it and reopening it works good enough.2) This is not so much a flaw, but more of a design compromise the manufacturer had to make... If the unit is on battery-only power, it will only be connected to WIFI and reachable through the app when you push the button on the front and the screen lights up. This was obviously to save battery life so that staying on WIFI 24/7 doesn't burn through the reserve. The idea is that you want the backup battery to last as long as possible in case of an emergency.The good news is that the schedule system will continue to carry out scheduled feedings you've already set. You just cannot remotely change the schedule or trigger a feeding via the app unless you first press the button on the front of the unit to light up the screen.I'm not dinging the unit points for this, but it's something you should know.3) Now, here's the big issue... My really stupid cats were able to figure out how to reach up into the unit and steal food within less than 24 hours of my setting up the feeder. Worse yet is that it appears that there's essentially no limit to how much food they can steal based on how this thing is designed. They went to town on it today.What gets me is that from examining the design of this thing, it would have been a really simple problem to solve for in the first place. Either make the chute between the food reservoir a bit longer or just make kind of a blocking panel over the funnel dispenser that prevents them from reaching around it. Think the anti-theft mechanism on your typical big candy/chip vending machines. Sorta like that.I'm currently prototyping a solve for this with cardboard and tape that seems to be working, but time will tell. If this is successful, I'm going to permanently modify the unit using some sturdy scale modeling styrene sheet I have in my hobby cabinet. I should 100% not have to do this though, the manufacturer could have prevented this easily with a little more R&D.I will say that if you have a dog, this would be a non issue. They're not dexterous enough to reach up into the machine.

Wunderbar - hat unseren Alltag absolut erleichtert und die Katzen haben jetzt routinierte Essenszeiten. Nun können wir entspannter arbeiten gehen und auch mal für ne Nacht die Katzen allein lassen, da sie mit dem Gerät super versorgt werden. Besonders toll finden wir die Sprachfunktion und dass man die Portionenmenge einstellen kann. Da es sehr stabil ist, konnten unsere Katzen es auch nach vielen Monaten nicht öffnen.

En la aplicación se pueden definir muy bien las cantidades y los horarios de alimentación, y se guarda un historial para poder realizar un seguimiento. Hace suficiente ruido como para llamar la atención de los gatos, sin causarles ansiedad. La cantidad de comida que cabe en el depósito es suficiente para aproximadamente una semana, quizás un poco más dependiendo del tamaño de los gatos. Tiene pestañas para bloquear la salida de comida en los comederos individualmente.
