This is ok for a backup battery, BUT the capacity is NOT 3600mAh. I depleted the battery to 0%, then fully charged it to 100%. I then loaded up a game and left the PSP running at full screen brightness until the battery ran out. It lasted about 1hr. This means the capacity is around 800-1000mAh. My old genuine 1800mAh Sony battery still works, and it runs for around 3hrs at full charge.Avoid.

The replacement battery comes in a plain white cardboard box with no tamper proof seal and is wrapped in a small plastic bag. The battery has the same size and connections as the original battery but twice the rated capacity at 3600 mAh instead of 1800 mAh.In use, the battery charges as expected. once fully charged , I turned the PSP on and left it to idle with the screen on. The battery lasted about 3-4 hours before needing recharging.

Fits well, great replacement for old dead battery.My original PSP is VERY old now and the battery didn't hold a proper charge, this replacement got it gaming on the go again!Battery life wasn't quite as long as I expected but it was certainly better than the dead original one.

This a battery for the psp 1000 series handheld console.Things I liked:- fits well on PSP-1000- advertised big capacityOverall, it charges and works as advertised.... but 3,600mAh is very questionable!!! Too light.

I received this PSP battery for free through Amazon Vine in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.This is a 3600mAh-rated battery intended for the original PlayStation Portable (PSP). It fits properly and functions without issue in the PSP.However, its weight is only around 26g, which is substantially less than would be expected for a battery of this claimed capacity. In testing, I was unable to charge or discharge even 1000mAh.It is possible that I received a defective unit, but given the unusually low weight, this seems unlikely. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this battery.
