It is indeed waterproof. It blows up in the wind though and your legs get totally drenched. Could do with being longer and I am not particularly tall. I keep it in my bag for unexpected rainfall.

Got stuck in some pretty heavy rain while on vacation. The way the wind was blowing I was well soaked through by the time I reached my hotel. Needless to say, there are times when an umbrlla just isn't enough. Opret Rain Poncho is a pretty handy item to have in your kit. It's light, compact and fits into a neat little pouch that comes included. It's long enough to protect most of the parts an umbrella won't. Your legs are still pretty much exposed, but moreso from the front. The back is a little longer. The poncho is big enough that it will cover a medium size backpack as well. Best of all, it is actually waterproof.The Ponco will also open up into a tarp. There are grommets on each corner which add to the practicality of having this on an outdoor camping trip or somthing along that line. Not afeature I ever plan on using, but it's there is needed.The duck bill on the hood seems a little long and awkward, and there is nothing reflective on the back or sleeves of the poncho. There are ways around this, but the lack of a iridescent stripe or logo is really the only solid negative I have about the garmet. I hope I don't need it that often, but definitely glad I have it.

Ob der Poncho seinen Zweck erfüllt kann ich noch nicht sagen, weil es noch nicht geregnet hat. Er ist auf jeden Fall angenehm zu tragen und hat eine schöne Größe und gute Länge (ich bin 1.73 m groß)

Seems sturdy and does the job but it is big for a 5 foot 4 inch woman….. don’t try and drive a car in it! Seems like good quality material and stitching and would be great for camping…

Das ist endlich ein Regenponcho, bei dem man wirklich nicht nass wird. Gute Länge, die Druckknöpfe an den Seiten sorgen für Bewegungsfreiheit und man kann auch einen Rucksack auf dem Rücken unter dem Regenponcho mit unterbringen. Optimal auch die Kapuze, da diese schön am Kopf anliegt und man auch etwas sehen kann, wenn man den Kopf dreht und bei Wind wird einem das Teil auch nicht vom Kopf geweht. Das kleine Dach an der Kapuze schützt etwas vor Regen im Gesicht. Würde ich wieder kaufen.
