Brilliant product easy to install

First of all, I am not sure why the solar receiver and transmitter sensors, claimed to charge even in cloudy days, have an option to charge via the supplied power adapter, which is meant to power the controller unit. And to make things worth, if you look at the instructions, the solar sensors can be charged with a 5-12VDC power, yet the power adapter supplied has a 15VDC output. If they can’t get the instructions right, and the design, then not sure why someone would pay £75 in the UK, when the sun don’t shine. I tried contacting the sales support provided in the box, but no response 3 days later. This is going back. Because once 30 days are up, I don’t want yo get stuck with rubbish.

I purchased one of these about 6 years ago and it has worked and lasted exceptionally well. It is located about 1/4 mile (400 metres) from my house and is still working reliably. I have just ordered another one. I wired the alarm to a doorbell system so I am aware when someone is approaching the house. This product is well worth the money.

Dismiss any of the previous Reviews which state this HTZSAFE Solar Alarm is difficult to install or is not working.I am a 72 yr old --WOMAN-- who installed it all by myself! It’s that easy!No power tools, no exotic hardware. No help either!Before buying his HTZSAFAE Alarm, I determined the optimum location to install it.My long uphill driveway faces WEST.About 100 ft east of the house, the Sensors are mounted with the solar panels facing West,the same direction as the Driveway, perfect to catch the afternoon sun.There is nothing to shade the Sensors from about noon until the sun disappears over the hill.Thus, the Beams project ninety degrees from the solar panels -—> north and south;and the Sensors are positioned about three feet above the level of the Driveway.No false alarms from the dog or from coyotes, but definitely from a person walking or from a vehicle.Instead of using screws to mount the Sensors, to avoid damaging the tree trunks,heavy-duty plastic packaging tape initially was closely mounted around the circumferences of the tree trunks. Then the L-shaped Mounting Brackets on the Sensors were slid behind the tapes,and tightened more, yet NOT completely.Using two bands for each tree permits adjusting the Sensors, using the horizontal peep holes, and the bubble levels.After everything lines up and the main Sensor beeps six times when the beam is broken,then the plastic tapes can be fully tightened.Because they are mounted on tree trunks, these HTZSAFE Sensors are mostly out-of-sight and well-disguised.On the Liquidambar tree, I slid old leather belts under the tapes, to protect the bark,and to prevent the tapes from slipping.After your Sensors have been initially charged, BEFORE your installation,place everything on a table or counter in your home or building, as a trial run,to see how everything works.Initially, I failed to understand why the Sensor beeps several seconds after the beam was broken.I thought the beeps might divulge the presence, or the location, of the Sensors.However, if a car is driving up the Driveway, or a person breaks the beams,the beeps are almost inaudible, and occur about 20 seconds after the beam is broken,after the person / vehicle is too far away to notice.During actual installation, it became evident - the six beeps indicate the Sensors are working correctly.Yee-Hah !The signal transmission, to the upstairs Receiver, inside a two-story house,penetrated flooring, numerous framing walls and a stucco exterior with no problem whatsoever.It is electronic, NOT line-of-sight !One issue which caused concern is the Volume Control on the Receiverworks backward from what I am used to. REMEMBER THIS:On old-timey radios and televisions, or even on spigots,to increase the volume, the Knob is twisted clock-wise.To decrease the volume, it is twisted counter-clock-wise.NOT SO on this Receiver.To make the volume louder, twist the Knob counter-clock-wise.To lower the volume, twist the Knob clock-wise.My volume control is set to the maximum volume.It causes the dog to come to a hover when a signal is detected, but I can hear it all over the house.HOW MUCH are your Safety and Security worth !This HTZSAFE Driveway Alarm has given me a heightened sense of security.
