Bought for my son who was absolutely cockahoop when he opened it. Definitely the edition he wanted, I'm sure it's the best around. The only thing I would say is that the publishers could have given the individual volumes slightly heavier covers, and made the box just a bit more sturdy. If youre going to spend £200 you may as well pay a tiny bit more and have it last. My son carries organ music around on his bicycle to Sunday services and to organ lessons and is not the most careful with anything. I wonder how long it's going to last.

So, I decided to cut to the chase, and obtain the whole thing .These scores are presented in clarity. No obscure obsolete clefts to interpret . Left hand bass line and pedal board inhabit their own staffs .I will be busy with this collection for a very long time .I should have done this a long time ago .

This is one of the finest editions of J. S. Bach. It is well-researched with excellent background notes, and easier to read minus the copious editing of earlier American editions.
