Highly recommended for a pro-ject debut carbon evo. Better soundstage, no more IGD and sibilance, sweater highs and deeper bass (not more bass!). Also more laid back spunding than the 2m red. Good upgrade!

Replacement stylus for Ortofon Red, with a fancier construction of the diamond tip. The sound is fresher with more detail and reality. If you don't want to spend a fortune, this is a real upgrade to high end analogue sound. Very easy to replace. Disadvantage is that you cannot sell the red stylus since it is the entry model. Buying the blue cartridge and selling the red cartridge might be a better option.

Blijft een mooie naald/element. Klinkt wel wat hoog in het begin, maar stabiliseert zich gedurende de tijd.

Ik heb mijn red stylus vervangen door deze blue op mij Reloop draaitafel, tot nu toe vond in mijn twee jaar oude red stylus veel beter klinken. Zuiverder en mooiere hoge tonen. Ik hoorde dat een stylus moet ingespeeld worden, ik weet niet of dat een fabeltje is. Ik draai dagelijks wel een paar platen, dus ik zal zien of het geluid beter wordt. Naalddruk heb ik 1.8 aangehouden.

Gebruikte hiervoor de red naald en nu de blue, de blue heeft bij mijn platen geen last meer van vervorming aan de binnenkant van de plaat (inner groove distortion). Geluid klink in vergelijking met de red gelijkwaardig waar bij ik soms denk dat de red bij sommige platen wat levendiger klinkt en de rblue klink schoner cleaner.Al met al zeer tevreden met deze naald.

I bought this to replace the stylus on the 2m Silver. The 2m Silver is a decent cartridge. It came pre-installed on my recently purchased Pro-Ject X2, and I was enjoying it all the while knowing I would upgrade the cartridge at some point. That is one of the fun things about owning a good turntable: you can tinker with the sound over the years of ownership and continually breath new life into your music collection. The 2m Blue stylus is definitely an upgrade! Everything sounds better: more detail, more definition and tighter response in the treble and bass. I also noticed that surface noise is not as noticeable. No cartridge will eliminate surface noise completely, and I still hear some pops and clicks, but there is a noticeable difference between the two styli. I think because the soundstage is enhanced, the noise seems further in the background. I found myself much more immersed in the music and not being distracted by the surface noise like I was with the Silver. I swapped them back and forth to compare as best I could (it only takes seconds to swap them) and the differences were not subtle like on some compressed Youtube videos. In person, on a decent system, the differences are substantial. If you are thinking about swapping out your 2m Red or Silver stylus for the Blue, you can't go wrong. My system cost approximately $5000, $230 Cdn is not a lot of money in an already expensive hobby (unless you are strapped for cash, which I have been in my earlier life as a student). There is no doubt it will make your listening time much more pleasurable.I hope this was useful for anyone deliberating on this kind of decision.
