Ortofon Stylus 2M Mono

A mono cartridge focus the sound between the speakers and thus adds better depth/dimension to the soundstage. The only flaw is that the ortofon mono cartridges, and maybe all ortofon cartridges in the 2m line, have a plastic like resonance that comes through the system when the tonearm is handled, and sometimes through the music, like the old crystal or early mono carts. Audio Technica makes a mono cart that is less money. Might be worth checking out instead of this. Though I'm satisfied with the cart, it may be the only Ortofon cart I will own going forward.

Sound quality was greatly improved. Wish they we a little less in price. Still worth it in my opinion.
