音は今流行りのオルトフォンオメガ(並行輸入品)の延長なのは仕方ないですね。針はハイコンかローコンかといえば、ちょっとローコンプライアンス寄りかな。オメガの方が聞きやすいかも…使いこなすのに時間がかかる針かと。OMシリーズはあまり見かけないローマス針として欲しかったので購入しました。初めはシェルもオルトフォンのLH-2000で試したが個人的にはつまらない音でした。結局山本音響さんの「ツゲ」のシェルに真鍮ウェイトをかけ、リードワイヤーのホット側はテクニカの6N-ofc、アース側は昔のオルトフォンの８N銅ワイヤーを使いました。評判のようにツゲの明るさとリードワイヤーの工夫でワイドレンジになりました。ちょっとMC針のようになったので潜在的な能力はきっと有るのでしょう。音楽鑑賞前提でオルトフォンのMM針を買うならば2Mのブルー辺りを買わないと駄目な感じです。でも音楽はちゃんと出ますから…ね。当然悪い品では無い…欲を云えばです。もう少し工夫して…音を引き出したいです。元々はコンコルドシリーズの流れのラインナップです。何か工夫が足りないのでしょう。オメガの方はなんの工夫もしてませんが気楽に音楽を聞けます。安いリードワイヤーで充分です。実験として普通のOM-5Eを比べて見るか…長い目で検討中です。やはりオーディオのアナログ「沼」にハマってしまった。普通でいい、という人は安いメイドインチャイナで線引きするのが賢い手です。テクニカのAT-95シリーズの丸針か楕円針はいいですし、regaのカーボンMMも聴きやすい。最悪は「沼」にハマってしまうことですかね…リードワイヤーにこだわり出したらもぅ黄色サインです。

Molt a la par amb l'Ortofon 10. Alguns preferiran la 10 i d'altres la 5E. I, a més a més, a favor seu em cal dir que jo no trobo gaire diferència entre aquestes dues i la tan prestigiada 20. Si no vols gastar massa diners, la 10 o la 5E són una aposta segura.El cartutx Super em sona una mica més agut que l'OM normal. Això vol dir una mica més de detall a la gamma alta, però també una mica menys a la part baixa. Depenent de l'ampli, altaveus, tipus de música, etc. triaria l'un o l'altre. Ambdós són espectaculars i molt semblants.

Fan de la marque Ortofon depuis toujours j'ai essayé beaucoup de modèles (OM DJ, PRO, NC, GOLD, 10) et toujours à la quête du meilleur rendu sonore pour numériser mes 33 et 45t original je me suis laisser tenter par ce porte cellule monté avec ce diamant 5E. Le rendu est impeccable, linéaire vraiment de 20Hz at 20 Khz, une stéréo incroyable, sans distorsion, j'ai redécouvre mes vinyles. Sans hésitez, excellent rapport qualité prix pour ceux qui recherche un son neutre et précis. par cotre pas pour DJ, avec un poids de 1.5g, la cellule est très sensible, impossible de scratcher et le niveau de sortie est plutôt faible (4.5mv), préampli hifi fortement recommander.

I have a Pioneer PLX-500 turntable as my home Hi-Fi music player. I got it because it's a durable, functional product that has VERY good sound quality. And I've had it for quite some time now. A friend asked me about how old the stylus was and I said it was the factory stylus. He told me that it's recommended to replace the stylus every 150-200 hours of use. For me, that number was long past.I always thought turntable needles were expensive and hard to replace. Having some mechanical knowledge, I figured I was slightly smarter than the average bear. My friend recommended Ortofon, a name I was not unfamiliar with. I had told my friend that there are so many choices, and I was overwhelmed by what to buy - price vs. quality vs. value, etc. Being a professional DJ (not a wedding DJ, a performance venue DJ), and having an extensive vinyl collection at home, my friend recommended Ortofon because of the quality their styli at every price point they offer. He told me he'd played with just about every one they offer and although their much higher-end styli are worth every penny, he told me I could get very close to that level for a fraction of the price. He recommended this Super OM 5E because it hit all the right points for my needs: Sound Quality, Durability and Longevity, Affordability.After receiving the stylus, I was still a bit apprehensive installing it myself. It would be the first time I've ever tackled a delicate job like this. And I was concerned about making sure the stylus was properly aligned and all that - as I don't have the templates for this. I saw where my factory stylus was aligned, removed it from the tonearm, and gently reconnected all four wires to their new, respective home on the Ortofon. I did my best recalling where the original stylus was aligned (distance from the tip of the tonearm head to the actual diamond needle), adjusted for height and weight, and made it secure with the two head screws that came with the tonearm.I was already accustomed to hearing vinyl on my original stylus, so I put on a favorite album, one which I was VERY familiar with - every sound, every nuance, every tone - and was blown away at how much clearer and fuller the sound was using the new Ortofon. I figured there were better styli available, but had no idea one could achieve THIS level of sound quality at this price point. The distortions I thought were just part of my old vinyls were, in fact, a result of the old stylus coming to the end of its life cycle. With the Ortofon, the distortions disappeared completely... COMPLETELY... (yes, I was super surprised hearing these tunes in such detail and fullness). THIS is what a vinyl experience should be like. Very musical stylus.Would I buy this Ortofon again to replace mine when it gets old? Very likely. Although my curiosity is now piqued to try other brands and models, I've come to understand and respect just how important it is to have a quality stylus that's in excellent working order. And this Ortofon Super OM 5E has done my Hi-Fi rig justice.

Have cheap £100 belt drive deck (House of Marley - stir it up - bamboo), that came with a AT3600L (I think - it looks like a AT3600l). Decided it didn't sound very good after about 1yr, bought this OM5E - and oh my gosh - it sounds amazing - even thru the decks own preamp and headphone amp. Utterly superb, sounds really nice - great channel separation, highs, lows and mids. Worth every penny!
