I was quite pleased with these lav mics and wireless receiver upon arrival in after testing. They are packaged very well, and while the included directions are of limited utility they were so easy to use I would basically call them plug and play. I use a Tascam DR-05 to record videos for social media, so I used the 1/8" jack for the mic receiver. There are other options on the receiver for other output styles. Pairing is simple and instant. I powered up the receiver, powered up a mic, and they paired immediately without drama. Lights on the receiver indicate if you have one or both mics paired. To charge the internal receiver or mic batteries you just use the included USB cable.The lapel mics come with fuzzy heads for wind protection and they are very lightweight. The lapel clips can be installed or removed if you don't need them, which allows hand-holding if desired. The power buttons are well placed and have solid indents so you can feel what you are doing even in low light. The receiver does have the three possible output styles exposed, so it might be nice to have covers for the ones not in use. It posed no issue in testing, though.Sound quality? Well, it isn't bad at all. On my DR-05 I have a high pass filter which limits any low end rumble below 120Hz. Mic power was not needed, and the gain was set at the same level I had used before for a corded headset mic. There is falloff at higher frequencies, and therefore voice sounds slightly boomy or boxy. I have hearing loss, so I'm more sensitive to the loss of higher frequencies, but I think the average person will not be bothered. Certainly this is something which could be addressed in post production with a minor tweak. Overall, and especially for the price, this package is very well done and should serve most users with an effective solution for cordless recording of voice.

These are quite effective as meeting microphones (to be used as indirect input to hearing aids). The battery life seems to be good and they offer a wide range of connectivity options.I connected these mics easily to a Windows PC. You just turn on the "Listen to this device" settings for these mics (Sound>Recording>Selected_Microphone>Properties>Listen). But a smartphone would be more convenient for meetings.However, I failed to find any way to connect these mics to an iPhone or iPad. You can record, but you cannot play through. Following some research, this appears to be intentional. Apple have a feature to do this (Live Listen) but they only allow this to be used when connecting to high-priced Apple/Beat headphones & to Apple-certified headphones. Live Listen is of course a trivial App. But around 4 years ago, the Apps which supported this feature were all removed from the Apple AppStore - presumably for the same reason?So, my experience is: great with a PC or sensible smartphone, but not helpful for use with an Apple product.
