I have heard wonderful things about the Osprey brand, but have never owned any of their products. I was excited to give this waist pack a try, as I have been looking for something bigger than the one I have been using to wear to ballgames, hiking, sightseeing etc. I must say this bag is BEAUTIFUL. The purple color is vibrant and gorgeous. The stitching is impeccable and the zippers are smooth. The fabric feels SUPER durable and is water resistant. It definitely has enough pockets and room to fit all of my (and my husband's stuff) during a day trip. That being said, it is not the most comfortable to wear. I am hoping that it's just because it's made so well that it's so stiff, and that it softens up a bit with use. So far, the back panel is awkward and doesn't conform to my body. As a result, it feels rather cumbersome and looks a little silly around the waist. As it is right now, it functions and feels way better used as a swing pack- worn on the torso, in the front or the back. Interestingly enough, that is how most of the models are wearing it in the pictures. I am ok with wearing it this way in the cooler weather, but on hotter days when I am wearing tank tops and sweating, I'd rather wear a pack around my waist where it isn't touching my bare skin. Still a great, well-made bag with plenty of storage, but hopefully it softens up just a bit so that I can wear it year round.

Fantastic quality. I have had many of these as I have loved them all my life regardless of wether they are in or not. This is a high end bag meaning that its a beautiful color with a great looking style. The purple color is exceptional and the fabric seems like it tiwll last forever. I love having several inside pockets and a connector for your keys. This is always a plus for me because I use the keep hook/holder and it keeps me from ever losing my keys enem just somewhere insode the bag.

This is the first underwhelming Osprey item I have reviewed. I was excited to receive this pack, but now that it is here I am not sure about it.First, it features a backpack-like frame. This is despite the pack not really needing it. If it were simply unnecessary, I wouldn't mention it, but the rigidity constrains the shape which limits the storage capacity.Second, no secret pocket at the back is a miss. It wouldn't need much space and would make up for the frame issue. The frame would actually ensure such a pocket retained its shape, making it ideal for things like passports. Alas, no secret pocket.Third, strap length is short. I'm not skinny, but I'm also not huge. I am a comfortable Large to XLarge in most shirts and I find the pack to be hard to wear sling-style. It sits too high on me if worn on the front. On the back it's OK. Around the waist is fine - I have plenty of strap to spare. Maybe that's the preferred method, since it has the most room for adjustment, but the pictures make a point of showing a man wearing it sling-style, so I guess you just wear it high...Fourth, the front pocket is weirdly small. I have a Pixel 6a and could barely get it in. Perhaps it makes more sense as a place to put loose items that would be hard to find in the main section (band-aids, for example).I like the look of the pack and it is clearly made to a high standard. It feels like it will take a beating. The compression straps are a nice addition, but something like the Cotopaxi Allpa hip pack does it better. The Allpa feels like a mini carry-on backpack, so the compression straps make sense to keep it constrained. This Osprey pack feels more like a traditional fanny pack, where the compression doesn't seem like something you would use that often. However, as a companion pack on a hike, the Osprey feels useful. I could see putting a small water bottle, snacks, and emergency poncho in it with ease. The greater structure would help stop it losing shape. With all that said, I still like it, just not as much as their backpacks. Every Osprey backpack has had me marveling at the thought that went into it and the little touches that show it was made by experts. This fanny pack definitely feels like an afterthought. It's better than many, but I'm not sure the extras are worth the cost.

Like everything that Osprey makes, this pack is quality through and through. My wife wears a waist pack on walks and this has quickly become her new favorite. It's not overly complicated with a ton of compartments and looks very modern and sporty. The fabric is very lightweight yet tough. I'm sure it will last years of use.

The product has good quality and a well-known brand.I've tried many different styles of waist packs, and this one has several advantages. It's comfortable to wear, mainly due to the Airscape technology on the back. It provides support and is breathable. Additionally, this waist pack is small, suitable for short hiking, and can carry a hydration bladder, phone, keys, and other essentials. I also really like the purple color; it's easy to match with clothing. It also has some disadvantages, which are just my personal subjective feelings. I find the material of the pack to be too stiff and not soft. This mainly causes it to be less convenient than soft packs for carrying items, and it can easily cause internal items to be squeezed and deformed. If the back support were combined with a softer material for the front of the pack, it would be a perfect waist pack.
