This Osprey Zip Sack is great, and does exactly what it says it will do. Don’t pay attention to reviews saying that the material feels thin and cheap. It’s definitely a thinner material, but it is made from 40D ripstop nylon so I wouldn’t call it a cheap pouch.This zip sack is designed to be lightweight, that’s why it is described as ultralight in the title of the product. And it excels at that, coming in at 21grams (.73 oz), this pouch is less than .1 lbs. So if you’re doing any serious hiking, backpacking, or just looking for an organization pouch for a bag that you won’t even realize is there, then this is your pouch. I also wanted to test for water resistance, so I put a paper towel in it and ran in under the sink. The material itself seems to be highly water resistant, I didn’t see any water spots on the towel after running water over it, or even cupping it and having water sit for 30 seconds, however running water over the zipper did cause some water to get into the pouch so I wouldn’t put anything water sensitive in here and submerging it, but it would probably be fine in rain.Overall this bag has the quality that you would expect from an osprey product, and is backed by their excellent warranty. If you’re looking for a cheap, thicker bag for something sharp, or a pencil case or something then this isn’t it. There are cheaper, heavier pouches, or specialized bags for sharp objects. However, if you’re looking for an ultralight weight pouch for organizing your backpacking bag then you’ll be happy with this.

I've been a huge fan of Osprey for a long time. Their products are always well thought out and impeccably made. They offer a lifetime warranty and it isn't just marketing, their products back it up.I have to admit, I only ordered this product because of the Osprey logo. I'm sure it will come in handy but it also seems to be a bit underwhelming on its own. I do see that they come in 3 packs with the small, medium, and large which I think would be a lot more handy as a set.The pouch itself is everything you would expect. It seems to be quality material and is well made. The zipper moves nicely and the little plastic loop on the end is big enough to put through a carabiner.I'm not sure what I'll end up using this for. It is a good size for some essentials when backpacking. At less than an ounce, it will be good for pack organization without adding any noticeable amount of weight.Overall happy with the "Osprey Ultralight Zipper Pouch, Black, Medium".
