Bought a few backpacks in preparation for a two week trip in Hawaii and learned: your backpack needs shoulder and hip padding and many little pockets- also it's important that it fits your torso size. I'm satisfied this backpack will minimize strain on my neck and back and keep me reasonably organized for beach camping. Just wanted to add that it kept my clothes dry without the rain cover it comes with and that it weathered airplane travel without tears or other types of damage. Sturdy and handy backpack. I recommend it.

Even though it has AirSpeed backpanel with adjustable shoulder harness to fit a wide range of torso lengths, 1. none of the interval fits me. No matter how I adjust, there's always a gap between my shoulder and the shoulder straps. I tried all heights! 2. Also, after changing the height of the shoulder harness, the hip belt becomes too high. 3. When I load my clothes n stuff, the backpack shifts when I walk.I'm very disappointed that this bag doesn't fit me given it's such a good brand, great concept - adjustable torso lengths, cooling mesh for the back, a colour I like and at such a great discount. I'm sad that it doesn't fit me : (But I'm relieved that Amazon made the Return easy and fuss-free.

I took this backpack for a three-month trip to India, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. A really fabulous trip. It is just the right size for such a venture, because you're just going to fill your backpack to the brim, no matter how large it is (if not before you leave, then when you are travelling), so you don't want to go bigger as then you have to carry more weight. I debated before I went whether to get a backpack or a suitcase on wheels. I was advised that a suitcase on wheels would be more awkward, and I am glad I made the choice to get this instead. Yes, on the metro in various cities on the way to or from the airport, the backpack was a bit awkward, but then on the trains it was better than a wheel-along suitcase, and that applied to the streets in India, too, where the step up to the pavement could be about 30cm and there were many potholes and piles of animal poo. Don't bother with buying storage cubes - they don't fit very well in a backpack. Just use plastic or cotton bags to separate out your dirty washing etc.. I also bought a lightweight fold-flat small backpack for my on-flight bag and for walking around places, which fitted in the big backpack on the way to the airport, and a small shoulder bag. The foldable backpack was useful as some airlines make you put everything in an overhead locker, so stuff would have fallen out of the shoulder bag. The small shoulder bag was most used every day.
