I use these bulbs in my pond lights and they seem to last much longer than the 2000 hours indicative lifespan. My lights have sensors built in so that they automatically switch on when light levels fall and they are often switched on overnight, yet I have only replaced each bulb once in five/six years and am just replacing one for a second time now (with this same brand). Each bulb therefore has been able to withstand a fair degree of adverse weather conditions (as well as immersion in the pond in a couple of cases, which the lights are designed for) without any detrimental effect on their longevity.I have tried different brands of halogen bulbs in other appliances in the past and been disappointed to find they never last as long as I would have expected, but Osram always seem to be reliable.N.B. Whilst the current illustration shows a 50W bulb, the bulb supplied is 20W, as described.

Arrived fast and in good condition. I like the make of Osram, no early failures to report so far.Replacing older bulbs now though with 6.5W LEDs as the trial is going well

Great but am also hoping they last longer than the one that blew! They were packed well and easy to open
