If your intent is to purchase a thin floor mat with a design that does look cheaply mass-produced but inspired by classic rugs, you may be happy with this $20 piece. I felt the price was fair (not exceptional) for what I received, but yes, it looks inexpensive -- again, like a mat, not a rug. I bought this mat for the inside entrance to a low-traffic door of a commercial building where something to gently wipe feet was needed. It serves that purpose and is indeed classier than a black rubber Welcome situation. Because the floors themselves are non-skid, I did not have the skidding problem described in some other customer reviews. I personally would not buy this for a home, however, even for a room with modest furnishings unless it were a play room or rec room where it's clear you were wanting to put down a mat, not a rug.

Exactly what I wanted to freshen up the tired appearance of our front door entry from our screened porch ! Replacing an old solid brown rug that served purpose well but was always dull, yet other areas/rooms of the house always were more of a priority to refine. So finally this fall I wanted a new, tastefully-colored design rug in warm shades of red but -1) had to make sure it wasn't too stiff as there's a short step that the rug needs to conform to make it properly safe & functional2) have a rubber backing so non-slip 3) low pile but not as boring as old rug 4) preferably washable & 5) as always, affordable. A long list of "wants" but honestly this lovely couldn't fit the bill more perfectly if I had actually designed it myself!!! 😁 And now I've found it, will repaint front door, make a new wreath, place this pretty yet practical rug to accent it all, and our front door entry & entire front porch is sure to have a much more fresh, warm, vibrant, & inviting appeal just in time for the upcoming holidays!

Carpet design is rather "blurry" and lacks definition, and the carpet itself is rather thin. In no way does this compare to a high quality, more expensive product. This said, from a distance of maybe 6 feet/2 meters, this isn't obvious and doesn't stand out, and the carpet is nice enough to pass and suited for purpose. It looks good and provides a modest amount of padding. If you're on a budget or plan to use it in a secondary area, it's a great money saver and definitely worth the cost. It's not a long time investment, but will do OK in the now.
