i can imagine a professional mechanic wanting something nicer, but this Oumers tool is more than adequate for personal use. i am using it to refurbish a Sedisport chain that needed thorough cleaning before i neglected it for 30 years. this cleansing entails breaking the chain in several places to remove crud. not quite done, but i know enough about the tool to write a review.when i junked my Rivoli, i remembered never liking it and thinking that it must be possible to buy a better tool without spending much money. it took three tries to discover that i was right.this Oumers tool is what i imagined. mine came with instructions explaining the importance of using the second screw. the main screw was coated with heavy grease and fits well. the handles are more comfortable than usual.usage hints: count the number of turns needed to break your chain, e.g. 12 turns (6 revolutions) for my Sedisport. when reassembling a chain, back off the second screw a little to preserve outer plate spacing.
