De grote omtrek biedt meer ruimte voor plastic bergbeklimmen laarzen en zwaar geïsoleerde broek, en het binnenbeen van elke hoes is gemaakt van duurzame Cordura stof om krampon vastlopen en doorboren te voorkomen wanneer je hoog in de bergen bent.

These are made for day-long backcountry trekking in deep snow and when so used will assure that once you have them on you will not have to think about them again. To make sure they don't loosen or let in snow they have buckle cinches across the top and the instep, and a sturdy hook/loop closure down the front. There is another, very beefy tab that secures the closure at the bottom to keep snow and flexing from working it loose and a flat brass hook to secure to the ring at the bottom of your winter boots. Heavy Cordura protects the bottoms and the surfaces where they might rub against each other. Gortex upper-outer for breathability.All of this is certainly overkill for a couple hours of shoveling (and there are inexpensive Chinese gaiters that are perfectly suitable for that) but for the right application I am unaware of a better product. Built for a lifetime of use!

Hin und Rückversand war kostenlos und unkompliziert, was ich beeindruckend finde, da der Versand von USA nach Deutschland allein wahrscheinlich ca. 50€ kostet. Habe größe L und XL bestellt, da ich mir nicht sicher war, welche passen. Ist das schließlich L geworden.Sehr robustes und hochwertiges Produkt. (Schuhgröße 48½ - Schuh: Handwag Ferrata 2).Einsatzzweck: Hochtouren und Expeditionen.Muss die Gamaschen jedoch oben ziemlich weit zusammenziehen, da Sie auch für große Waden + Isolierte Hosen gedacht sind.Die XL gamaschen haben an den Schuhen hervorragend gepasst, jedoch waren sie oben so groß, dass ich mir eigentlich sicher war, dass sie rutschen würden. Hoffentlich passen die Gamasche auch über double-boots in meiner größe. Mal schauen.

These are absolutely perfect. I have used them every day now. They go on and come off easy. Just a hint on the bottom strap. You only need to adjust it one time. When putting them on, step into the gaiter heel first, then pull them around your leg and close/adjust to what you are wearing. This way you never have to fool around with the bottom strap, it won’t wear out or break. Much easier than my old gaiters that have nylon parachute cord ties under your boot.

So far these work. I've been out in deep snow and the bottoms of my jeans stay dry. Whoever came up with the sizing system should be fired. I am 6- 2 I weigh 265 lb. The large size that I ordered is way too big for me. If I'm a medium I would love to meet the guy who wears an extra large. Quit telling people to order a size or two smaller and just fix your crappie size system. And fire that guy. I'm not sure I trust the velcro for longevity hence the 3-star rating. For close to $100 I expect that these should be the very last pair I ever buy. Period!Update. 6 years later. I wear these one snowmobiling. The Velcro has not been a problem. Still just as good as when I bought them. Wish I had bought one size smaller. Extremely good quality even six years later absolutely no regrets. I would say that I would buy them again except That they are such good quality. I don’t think I will ever need to.
