I was apprehensive at first about how the float would perform, i used it on a rendering job and it was outstanding. The desired finish (stippled) was accomplished with very little effort.

Turned me from a below average DIY plasterer to passable DIY plasterer! Using this with lime based plaster so cant comment on gypsum. But this makes the finishing process a breeze. Takes a lot of pressure off not worrying about getting all the trowel marks out as your rushing to get the plaster on the wall. Walls finished up nicely with a plastic trowel after sponging the wall.Only thing I would say is its a nightmare to clean. I've used it on 4 walls and its already starting to disintegrate. But they're still cheap enough factoring in the cost to get the walls professionally lime plastered! Would recommend to anyone trying to DIY plaster.
