Installed the oxford premium cruiser grip for my wife's Honda CMX 500 Rebel.Have the touring version on my Z750, so we knew it was going to keep the hand nice and toasty.Install was pretty easy, cut off the original grip off the bar, and off the throttle tube. Glue them on, and let it cure for a few hours. Holds well. Warms up quick. Great for the cold morning rides. Auto shut down does work on my wife's rebel, but I have connected mine to a fuse relay controlled by a accessory relay.it does come with additional parts compare to my touring version.- fits 1" bars- comes with 2 type of end caps. (shinny plastic chrome or a slightly darker chrome)- comes with an additional bar clamp mount (with both black and chrome back cover)Downsides:- I don't like the "flame" graphic on the grip. Kind of tacky... I have the other Oxford touring heated grips for the 7/8" bars, and the grip was comfortable with the generic style grip pattern. Would be great if it was like that.- Yeah, it feels pretty hard on the hand; (just be aware of it)- it is larger than the stock Honda rebel grips, so if the rider has a smaller hand (like my wife) than you may find the clutch/brake lever is further away from your finger reach. Note if you have a SENA remote controller, it will be a very tight fit to get in there.- Wife is not a fan of the plastic chrome or a slightly darker chrome end caps. so I just used some spray painted it black- The bar clamp mount is a good idea, but it will need to be on a straight flat bar. It would not fit if the bar is slightly bend, and you can't adjust the orientation of the controller if the bar is not horizontal.- I am surprised the bracket holder is not a better finish (like chrome) to suit "cruiser style". So I had to spray it black as well so it doesn't stand out.- Be aware of how bulky the wires can be; specially for cruiser style bikes without fairings to hide them. Its fortunate the Rebel has a small space under the front of the fuel tank to squeeze them it. Another way would involve splicing the cables to be powered from your headlight, or if you are lucky, and accessory power port, but it does involve some basic electrical skills.Seems like a lot of downside, but it is actually small things compare to the benefit of having a pair of warm hands during a cold cold day riding. no more numb hands, and I even able to ride with a pair of thinner winter gloves. Start off at 100% to warm up, and within 10mins, I would drop it down to 50% to stay warm.Highly recommended.

They heat up very good and it's good that they power down if you forget to do it manually. So you don't have to come out to a drained battery.
