This is a heavy duty lock and chain. It was heavier than expected, but this just highlights how sturdy the chain is. Nothing is full-proof but I wager it will be a serious deterrant for would-be thieves. Very pleased with the purchase.

The weight of the chain means it isn’t practicle to carry in a haversack slung over your shoulder. I didn’t buy it for this purpose but added it incase it was to be used as such. It is solid and the lock style and chain size means that it isn’t going to be easy to cut or break. Ideal as a floor mounted chain wrapped around the frame or swinging arm.

Sturdy feel, ridiculously heavy

Brilliant lock, well made and very sturdy.. do not purchase if you need something mobile… its incredible heavy…

The actual security and strength of the product is fantastic, however it is very very fiddley, the way one link has to go through another link to lock is far from ideal, the D ring has to be inserted so tightly into the lock that it takes a long time to secure the padlock. I am giving up and buying another lock with a bigger D ring.
