Very solid, compact and a very good quality lock.The U-bar is coated to prevent scratching and is nice and thick at 16mm diameter.One end of the U-bolt, that secures in to the locking bar, is angled, so it can be tricky to connect to the locking bar. I'm sure it'll be easier over time.The lock's alarm is set on/off by the rotation of the key in the locking bar, and will beep once or twice to signify whether the alarm is set or not.When the D-lock alarm is set and is triggered, the alarm emits a loud beep on about two attempts. If a further attempt is made the alarm sounds, and it's very loud.This lock won't stop a theft, but it's a very good deterrent.I wish I'd bought this before some low-lives broke the steering lock on my Vespa!

Very heavy , alarm is a bit of a pain, one end of the u bar has a kink in it which makes it hard to connect, but on the hole it’s good.

Use it for my Vespa. This is not an easy lock with a smooth operation: Difficult to assemble and difficult to put the key into the keyhole. The bar hooks into the the other part. The yellow rubber covers move around so that they are not lined up with the holes. Need to wiggle the key into the keyhole to get it in. All this whilst bending over (in the rain…) Alarm needs a certain routine of operation otherwise it can go off in storage inside the bike….read the manual.It’s just not quick and easy for me but I keep using it because it looks strong and secure.

I like this lock, as it's not too heavy or big, so easy to carry around. Looks secure and alarm is good but not that loud. Alarm not always activated when lock is turned on, but it generally works well.
